Both have signed contract extensions for two years. Giggs feels he can continue for a good few years yet, "It's natural as you get older that you lose some of your speed but hopefully I can keep my fitness at a good level. I understand my position a lot better and use my experience to take up better positions, which means I don't have to run anywhere as near as much as I used to when I was 17 or 18.
"Keeping that little burst of pace is the key and at the moment I still feel very comfortable on the wing. Thankfully I'm naturally fit so I haven't had to work harder at my fitness. There is a difference between just running, training, playing in matches and doing the bleep tests.
"There's no one fitter than Keaney but I wouldn't say he is the best runner. It is all about how you think about the game on the pitch."
