Giggs & Zaha: Master & Prodigy.

Manchester United ace Wilfried Zaha has been handed a Carrington changing rooom peg next to Ryan Giggs.  The benefits of this are two-fold. First, is that young Wilfried feels welcome at the club, and secondly, that he sees the formula for success that has kept Giggs at the top of footballs tree for more than twenty years.

The fact that a legend such as Giggs is now mentoring him, must be a honour and an awe-inspiring experience for Zaha (who must be pinching himself regularly to keep from lapsing into a dream induced coma).

Giggs has seen and experienced it all in a lifetime of football. He will be a fountain of knowledge to Zaha on everything from injury prevention, big game mentality and of course Attitude, with a capital 'A'.

United chief David Moyes is eager that 20-year-old Zaha assumes good habits following his £15million move from Crystal Palace.

Giggs, who is 40 in November, is United's record appearance holder (that looks set to go on) and has recently been appointed player-coach by Moyes.  That move was heavily influenced by Sir Alex before departing the Old Trafford hot-seat. This was part of the process of ensuring the continuity of attitude, mentality, know-how and ultimately success did not get lost in the hand-over to Moyes.

For his part,Moyes has recognised that Giggs experience is invaluable he acclimatises to his new job and how to get the best out of starlings such as Zaha.

'Ryan has been great for me with what works and what happens here,' said Moyes. 'I've got to say he and players like Rio have given me a real good insight into things.'
