GIGGS - PREPARATION IS KEY

"We're trying to help the other lads. We've been there before. It is important in between games to get your rest. We're not training much now, it is just about ticking over, looking forward to each game, using your experience in each game and not getting too carried away. To be fair, the lads are good like that.

"The key word is 'focus' and we have shown we have the ability. We've got to approach every game like we did against Watford, like it is a cup final, and be prepared for it. The manager and coaches prepare us for games, but we've got to prepare ourselves, as well."

"It's been a tougher end to the season than in 1999. In 1999 we played two cup semi-finals against Arsenal but because we had almost a full squad available, we put out two different teams." Giggs said. "We've got a few injuries this time. Earlier in the season, we were quite lucky with injuries, but, hopefully, Louis, John O'Shea and Gary Neville are coming back soon and they will be big pluses for us. Also, because we have won a few games by reasonably big scorelines recently, the manager has been able to bring players off early and give a few of us a rest.

"The games are coming thick and fast now but winning helps the tiredness part. In any case, you want to be part of big games and in three competitions at this stage of the season. We have not managed that in the last couple of years, so it is great to be in this position."
