From The People:
Research, published by doctors in America earlier this year, followed interviews with a number of recipients of transplants as well as the families of those who had donated organs.
In one case, a man who received a woman's heart underwent a number of stark personality changes including a passion for the colour pink and a newly-acquired taste for women's perfume.
They also found a 29-year-old woman who changed from being gay to heterosexual after she received the heart and lungs of a teenage girl.
"He's been reading all there is to know about transplants and is now a bit of an expert," said one pal.
"He is also very knowledgeable about the details of a recent study on so-called personality transplants.
"Some of us have joked about it with him, but George seems to be taking it all fairly seriously."
