GATHER UP YOUR NIKE GEAR

The MEN reports:

‘United fans opposed to Malcolm Glazer's takeover will be invited to donate their Nike gear to third world charities at a rally next week. The Not For Sale coalition is behind the "Nike amnesty", which they say allows Reds to show their opposition to the sportswear giants, who are United's biggest partners.

‘It is part of the campaign aimed at boycotting United merchandise and the products of the club's sponsors and affiliates, and will take place at the rally, to be held on Bank Holiday Monday at the 3,000-capacity Apollo Theatre.

‘Campaigners claim that, having been taken by surprise initially, the fight against Glazer is now gathering momentum - they say Shareholders United's "Roll of Honour" - supporters who have pledge to give up their season tickets, LMTBs and match tickets - has 780 names after being launched late last week.’
