'There is no point arguing about World Cup matches and things like that but friendly games are an issue with every international team,' Fergie said.
'The club wants the player and so does the international coach. Interestingly enough, Park wasn't included for friendly games last season, which would be an enormous benefit.
'If we have a Saturday lunchtime game immediately after a friendly, we do ask the coach to leave the player out, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. You are just looking for some assistance.'
