'Santini said that the Arsenal pair had come to blows two days before the 2-1 victory over England during what he described as a training session conducted in a highly-charged atmosphere.
Following the incident, Santini said he and his fellow coaches had tried to impose more control on the training sessions, adding that the lessening of the tempo and competitive edge to the sessions may have played a part in affecting France's aggressiveness when they played their matches.'
