Hull boss Phil Brown quoted in the Evening News, "His character is one of his biggest assets. He has a zest for life. He has verve when he crosses the white line. He plays with a smile on his face. I like players who enjoy football.

"I am not in the game to be a miserable old manager, I am in it to enjoy it and be a happy manager. I enjoy watching football and I enjoy watching Fraizer. He has scored three times for us and two were when we were on Sky TV. So a reputation has begun to develop. People are now looking at him and saying he has blistering pace, can get in behind players, has a good work ethic, is brave and can score goals.

"The championship is not a place for boys. It is brutal at times and unforgiving. You have to be ready for anything that is thrown at you. But he is coping with that.

"I think his experience in Belgium with Royal Antwerp has a lot to do with that. United have it right when it comes to developing their young players and one of the things they've done well is give them that experience in Antwerp. That connection is very healthy. I think it has stood Fraizer in good stead and has been good for us because we have acquired a 20-year-old man and not a 20-year-old boy because of the experience he had living and working in a different country and culture. He has that added extra experience which a lot of lads of his age don't get.

"Our connection with United is now key and we have to conduct ourselves in the right manner because there may be possibilities of others in the future. We have to make sure that this first one is the right one. Hopefully Fraizer will be telling people that we do right by the players and we play the right type of football."
