MIKAEL SILVESTRE has finally agreed a new four-year deal to keep him at Manchester United.

Ferguson said: "We have agreed a deal with Mikael. There are just one or two things left to sort out.It is a relief to get it all done at last. He has become a very mature defender, has a great amount of enthusiasm for the game and has shown a lot of experience and passion in his play. These are the reasons we wanted to keep him for another four years."
