The Guardian reports:
‘The widow of Cameroon's Marc-Vivien Foe, who died of a heart attack during a Confederations Cup match last year, is suing the French Football Federation for failing to provide sufficient medical support.
‘"Everybody saw Foe collapse, and the unbelievable delay that it took for him to be carried away from the pitch and be treated," said Mrs Foe's lawyer, Alain Jakubowicz.
"There was no specialist doctor, no equipment, nothing. Foe died of a heart attack, which can happen but the problem is the failure of the safety services when the tragedy took place."
