Giggs told Sky Sports News that he is confident that Fergie will look after Ronaldo over the next few years:
"There was a general buzz about the place when he came on, everyone had heard a lot about him and he's that kind of player who gets people off their seats and that's what this club is all about. You want players like that.
"But I think he's round good people - he's at a good club that knows how to handle players.
"Obviously the manager and his staff are past masters at it and it's the same for the players as well, we've got a good team spirit here and we make all the new signings welcome and I think they've all fitted in.
"The fans are bound to get excited but it is a long career and though he was brilliant on Saturday, we have to look after him. I'm sure the manager will make sure that happens."
