"Despite what people think, I like Alex Ferguson very much. It's difficult for me to speak about the man because I am at City and he's down the road at United, but I just hope that he is fit and healthy.
"From what I see, he's still as enthusiastic as ever. He's still a winner and he won't slow down. When you get to know him you discover just how focused and determined he is.
"I don't wish Alex any luck against us, but in life I send him my very best wishes. It has to be that way.
"A win against United would put a lot of things right for the fans and this is our biggest game of the season.
"I don't normally set targets, I have told the players that we need four wins from our final 11 matches to be safe.
"What we really need is a victory in front of our own fans - and beating United would make it extra special.
"I really was thinking top six this year. A win today would give everyone a big lift."
