"Everton have had a great season," said Ferguson, "David Moyes has done exceptionally well there with little resources and that is the true test of a manager. They are chasing fourth place and while there is a bit of competition for it, they are in such a good position we know it will not be an easy game for us at Goodison.
"But we did well ourselves on Sunday (beating Newcastle 4-1 in the FA Cup semi-final). We have started scoring again and hopefully we can maintain our own form. We are chasing second spot and we can only get it if we win all our remaining games."
Fergie was also full of praise for Rooney, "Wayne was a part of a very good team performance in Cardiff and he has been terrific all season. He has improved. In the first part of the season, it was a matter of getting his fitness and getting back into the game after a long 96-day lay-off . It was a long haul back. But since he got back, his form he has been sensational."
