The 3-0 win against Liverpool at Old Trafford took United six points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table with just seven games to play, although The Gunners were due to play at fellow title-contenders Chelsea later in the day.

"It was a really good performance - a performance of maturity," the United boss said after the match.

"We've seen a team mature over the last six months and today they hit their high peak.

"The title race is going to go right to the end, Chelsea and Arsenal are going really well.

"We've beaten a strong Liverpool side playing good football."
