Even so, Ferdinand believes that the wheels could come off their romp for the title should they not remained focused completely on the job in hand.
Ferdinand is quoted in the Sun as saying: "We are not at the end of the season yet.
"No medals have been handed out. We don't want to jump about too much.
"Last year we paid too much attention to City because it was the first time they had challenged properly and there was a lot of focus on Manchester.
"We don't have to focus on anyone else, just ourselves."
