Despite all the rumours in the press about Ferguson and Beckham's relationship. Beckham still doesn't have a bad word to say about him. Perhaps he's waiting for his book.

Becks said: "With any boss you have your ups and downs. But I've always had a sort of father-son relationship with him.

"I've been at the club since I was 14. I've grown up with Alex Ferguson. Without him I wouldn't be the player and person I am today.

"He had the courage to put me and three or four other young players into the team when there was probably a lot of pressure on him. I owe him for that."
