FAB AND MICKEY FOR FRANCE

Fabien Barthez and Mikael Silvestre have been picked to join up with the French squad for their Euro 2004 qualifiers against Malta and Israel.

France play Malta on March 29 in Lens and Israel on April 2 in the Sicilian city of Palermo as the Israeli Football Association is not allowed to host matches in Tel Aviv due to the situation in the Middle East.

Chelsea's Marcel Desailly and Emanuel Petit have not been picked which may possibly secure a place in the starting line up for Silvestre, if his ankles are up for it.
