EXCLUSIVE: PREPARE THY SELF

Last updated : 01 October 2002 By Editor

Our Carrington snouts tell us that neither Giggs nor van Nistelrooy trained yesterday. With the Athenians in town it is a possibility that Ferguson was trying to pull a fast one but it is likely that the best we can hope for is that Ruud will start on the bench again.

If Ferguson needed to give Ruud a bit of extra time to recover from his 'tight hamstring' then the injury may be much worse than has so far been admitted which has got to be a major worry.

The sun is cracking the flags in Stretford this morning but it will get colder by eight o'clock and we can't imagine that Rob Swire would recommended sitting around on a bench on an Autumnal Manchester evening as the best form of treatment for Ruud's hamstring.

So you may choose to ignore the 11/4 but how about having a bet using bluesq.com, if you haven’t opened an account already then you can have a free ten pound bet courtesy of Red Issue.
