Crerand said: "Never before has the team been written off so many times in one season and yet still come through to take the title. It is an absolute miracle. It seems only a few months ago I was sat with friends moaning into my beer because we thought Arsenal were going to do it. But Alex Ferguson has done it again. This fightback proves he is the greatest manager of all time."
Crerand added: "In the last couple of months, this side has played as well as it ever has done under Alex. Moving Ryan Giggs up front into a much more attacking role has had a big influence in the turnaround. Everyone was moaning about him earlier in the season but he has come good."
