“European football is different,
"There is a different approach to the game and, in my
experience, a more intensive preparation. All the coaches
work very hard at analysing their opponents.
"In domestic football, you know all the teams and you have
played against them many times.
"In the end, it has a certain mundane effect whereas in
Europe, everyone comes alive. You get a great sense of
occasion through the atmosphere of it all."
