“Philadelphia 25th July, Chicago 28th July, New York 31st July.

“United also look set to confirm a 4 team tournament to be held at Old Trafford over two days in the first week of August 2004.”

Elsewhere:

United were given a lift today with the news that Porto striker Derlei has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

United's Champions League opponents have been rocked by the injury to one of their key players during last night's 2-1 win at Alverca in which he scored the opener.

Porto believe that he has injured knee ligaments in his right leg and that he will be sidelined for six months, which means his season is effectively over.

Club doctor Nelson Puga told journalists that the injury was probably a rupture of the cruciate ligaments although he added: "We need further tests to be sure.”
