After cruising to victory last night Alex Ferguson believes United are beginning to play quality football again. He said

"The first 25 minutes was the best we have played all season. The pace, penetration of our play and our finishing were fantastic. In the second half we kept our discipline and got the job done.

"This performance showed if we get our form right and play to our capabilities, everything is there for us. There's no doubt about that."

"It can be difficult playing against 10 men but I was impressed with the way we played.

"We kept our discipline, did nothing silly and kept good possession.

"(In the second half) we weren't as penetrative as the first half but they went to five at the back to save their pride."
