DON'T CROSS FERGIE

Speaking in the Sun, Stam says:

"People say I was sold because of my book and because it
soured my relationship with Ferguson but I don't know the
truth. But I do know it's never a good idea to get on his
wrong side. Players who do not enjoy a good relationship
with him don't stay at Old Trafford for ever. He likes to
let people know who is the boss.

"Nobody was more shocked than me when Ferguson told me
United had accepted an offer from Lazio. It proves no player
is sacred and anyone can be bought and sold - no matter who
they are."
