Defender On The Comeback Trail

The United defender has been sidelined for almost two months with an ankle injury but manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he expects to have the England international back in his first team squad plans within the next two weeks.

"Wes Brown should be back in two weeks at the very most," Fergie has said.

"You would want to have all your players available, particularly given the programme we have in January.

"But I think we can cope, because we have players who are versatile and can play in different positions."
