Defender Joins Tractor Boys

The 21-year-old United defender has moved on loan to Portman Road for the remainder of the season.

"It is good for the lad," said United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

"The boy needs games and I have allowed him to go to Ipswich until the end of the season.

"They are a good football team and that will suit him fine."
