DECO HOPES TO EASE DEBT

Barcelona Midfielder Deco hopes that if Ronaldo does leave United in the future it will be to play for Barca and not for Real Madrid. In an interview he said:

'As a friend I wish the best for Cristiano Ronaldo but I would prefer that he did not sign and play for Real Madrid who are our biggest rival,' Deco said.

'He is a great player and it would be much better that he plays for us in Barcelona.'

Ronaldo himself though doesn't welcome the rumours that seem to be circulating in Spain. When asked in an interview in Spain whether he had played his last game for United he said: "I don't think so. We are to going to have to see.

"I do not know anything [about Real Madrid's interest]. Those questions have to be directed to my representative Jorge Mendes and not to me.

"Simply, I am integrated into Manchester United and I only think about this club."
