The Football Association announced the date for the tie at Upton Park on its website, avoiding any clash with Champions League fixtures taking place the previous week.
A statement from the governing body, accompanying the announcement, read: "Extensive discussions have taken place with all associated parties regarding the scheduling of this fixture, with limited options available.
"The FA recognises the agreed date may not be an ideal solution for all, but believed it was the most appropriate available within the congested football calendar."
The FA has therefore ensured no fine will be imposed by UEFA, as might have been the case had the domestic fixture been scheduled alongside a high-profile European tie.
The replay, required after a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford to decide who will face Everton at Wembley in the last four 10 days later, will kick off at 7pm and be broadcast live on BBC One.
