CHELSEA UNDER FIRE

'Ken Bates has been accused of giving Chelsea supporters a Brum deal after a massive hike in ticket prices.

Ten of Chelsea's 19 Premiership home games are classified as high-profile category A matches. The cost of a ticket in the upper tier of the famous Shed End for such games has rocketed from £33 to £40 - a huge increase of 21.2 per cent. Chelsea fans will also have to fork out top prices to see the home games against Fulham and Manchester City.

Fan Jez Walters said: "It is outrageous that Birmingham should be a category A match. Ken Bates is stretching the point one game too far."

TOTTENHAM charge £40 for a similar ticket but have only THREE category A games, with Birmingham's visit to White Hart Lane being the lowest category C. Tickets are at £30.

ARSENAL charge £43.50 for the best seats in the North Bank but keep one price regardless of the opposition, while WEST HAM charge £38 and have SIX category A games.'
