After only five starts last season and one appearance at Leeds this term Luke Chadwick is starting to get a bit frustrated at not playing regular first team football. Chadwick has also seen his youth team colleague John O'Shea take his crown as United's best youngster. Chadwick said:

'I need to make an impression this season because I am 22 now and need first-team action,' he said.

'If I don't make an impact I will have to look elsewhere.'

'If a loan deal came along that would be fine,'

'It would be good to get a regular game of football.

'As you get older, you can't wait forever for your chance. You want to get amongst it and be part of the squad.

'There are so many great players here you know you cannot walk into the team but if I don't make an impact this season I would have to consider leaving.'
