Carlos Queiroz has confirmed that he is coming back to United after spending
almost a season at the helm of Real Madrid. Despite being unsuccessful at the
Bernebau he will return to Old Trafford to take up the same position he left a year ago. He told O Jogo:
CARLOS RETURNS
"I come back with the same functions and responsibilities that I had the first time I was in Manchester,"
"That is not the important thing, what interests me at the moment is the project
and the ideas that we have for the club," he said.
"My mission is to work alongside Alex Ferguson with the intention of making
Manchester United the strongest club in the world."
It appears that he ha one eye on the future of United once Sir Alex Ferguson
decides to call it a day. He went on: "It's practically a done deal. There are just
some legal details to sort out.
"Manchester United's offer is not one to turn down. It is a long-term contract
which puts me as favourite to become club manager."
Que sera sera Carlos.
