BROWN AND FERDINAND ARE READY FOR NEXT WEEK

Wes: "The lads who are playing know that from the start it’s going to be quick and aggressive and you’ll have to compete for everything. I know Arsenal have said we’re too physical against them but if we start off like that we always do well, and that’s the basis of our game against them."

"We’ll try and get stuck in. If the ball is there to be won you have to win it and to do that you can’t be soft. You have to put everything into it.

"Bergkamp has been one of the best players I’ve faced. He’s always very physical and his positional play, the way he holds the ball up, and the way he can thread passes through is tremendous.

"Henry is a big threat to any defender. He can do stuff on his own that other players just can’t do.

"The lads are all for it. After the season we’ve had, I don’t think there can be any complaints," Brown said. "Our aim is to rise again and if we show a bit more grit and determination it can work out for us because we have the ability. We’ve not been cast adrift by Chelsea and Arsenal as some people have been saying."

Ferdinand: "As soon as we reached the final, I started to think about what the final was going to be like.

"It's like waiting for a Christmas or birthday present. It is something that you want to get your teeth into and really get involved with.

"The day will be more special for me because of what happened last season. I went to the match and watched it but I felt pretty weird.

"When I look at my mantelpiece there is not much there.

"I have won a few personal things but as the member of a team I have only got one Premier League winners medal. I want more than that. That is why I came to Manchester United.

"When we got to the final last year I looked at Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Paul Scholes they were buzzing as much as the lads like myself who had never been there.

"It shows you the determination, the drive and desire these guys have got. That is where I want to be."
