BOXING DAY AT OLD TRAFFORD

Wes:

"I think it will be harder," he told United Review.

"When you a play a team twice in a short space of time and beat them the first time out then they’re going to be even more determined to beat you the next time.

"This will definitely be a harder game. But it’s one we’ve got to win.

"I like Nathan Ellington as a player.

"He’s got a lot of skill, he’s confident, quick and he’s one of those players that you think might not get the little touches or turns to get away from you but he can do that too.

"He's not long back from injury and I’m sure he’s going to keep getting better for West Brom."

Scholes:

"Down the years, we have been used to going into games at Old Trafford knowing we could be two or three goals up after 20 minutes.

"We have struggled to do that as often over the last couple of seasons but if we do get an early goal it really boosts our confidence and we feel we can go on and score a couple more.

"If we can start killing games off earlier, then maybe we will start scoring more freely

"It was a relief to get back on the scoresheet, so perhaps I can get a few more now.

"I was a little worried when I wasn't scoring but all you can do is get into the right positions and hope the chances come. That is what I have done this season and what I must keep doing to start chipping in more regularly.

"I would rather be scoring because it helps the team but I am happy as long as United are winning. If we went all season without me scoring, but still won, I would not be too concerned."

The new mag is out on Boxing Day.
