Manchester United midfielder Bojan Djordjic is keen to make an
impact with the Premiership giants this coming season and earn
himself a regular berth in the Swedish national squad. He told Sportbladet:
BOASTING BOJAN
"When I see the lads who get to play in the (Swedish) national team, it's
obvious that I am considering it myself.
"There are starters (in the Sweden squad) who don't play in particularly good
clubs."
Djordic who replaced Becks during the 3-0 win against Parma in The Dam
doesn't want to play on the wing.
"Actually, I am a central midfielder, it's there where I play for the (United)
reserve side.
"I feel that I am closer to a place this season but that might depend on what
teams we are facing throughout the season.
"I am competing with six other central midfielders who are all world class."
However the lad goes on to show a bit of loyalty by saying he doesn't want to
be farmed out to an English club if he can't claim his place this year:
"If I go somewhere else, it has to be to a good club in another country.
"When I am in England, I only want to play for United.
"But you never know what happens. I can just fight on and do as well as I
can.
"At times, it feels tough not to get a chance but I came here as a 17-year-old
and have taken some steps forward along the road.
"When I do get the chance to play, I am quite proud of myself."
