BLOODY TYPICAL

Ruud van Nistelrooy has become Manchester United's first casualty of the international break. He has returned to Manchester from Holland's training camp of Wednesday night's game against the Austrians to get treatment on his persistent hamstring trouble.

Ruud apparently asked Dutch coach Dick Advocaat to send him back to Manchester so United could monitor the injury.

Rob de Leede of the Dutch Football Association said: "He had some trouble with the hamstring with United and the situation has not improved,"

Van Nistelrooy is now doubtful for the Reds' trip to face Fulham on Saturday Since coming off at half-time following his two-goals against Byer he hasn't played a full 90 minutes. Fergie will now be hoping that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer survives Norway's home qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina tonight.
