PAYOUT FOR 'HOOLIE'
Sun:
A POST clerk fired after being accused of being a soccer yob is set for £125,000 compensation. Mick Doherty, 34, and brother Tom, 25, were caught fighting at the UEFA Cup final in 2000.The Arsenal fans were pictured in skirmishes with Galatassaray supporters on the streets of Copenhagen. Mick and postman Tom were fired by Consignia, but an employment tribunal ruled their dismissal was unfair because of "procedural errors".Tom is seeking £125,000 compensation, but will be taken back by Consignia if it loses an appeal. But postal chiefs are refusing to take back Mick — and are offering him the £125,000 pay-off instead. The brothers' supporters claim the pair were protecting women and
children from Turkish fans.Their sackings sparked a walk-out by fellow workers in North London.
