"Ryan will get better and better,"
"He improves the way he does everything. The way he lives his life - all the things he does - are a great example to all professionals of how to be a great player.
"Be humble, be professional, be disciplined - that's what it takes, and that is something every young player should look at in Ryan.
"People are just recognising what a great player Ryan is and what a great player he has been for the last 15 years."
Giggs himself was more philosophical about it:
"People have said to me I've been playing my best football but I won't accept that after just two or three games," he told the Sun.
"If I get to the end of the season and I have kept it going then that will be fine. But at the moment we are only a few games in and I have to keep this going.
"I had a long rest during the summer and maybe that has helped. I certainly feel fresh and I feel as though I have hit the ground running.
"I couldn't wait for the season to start and maybe that is showing in the way I'm playing."
