"I think we're more than worthy winners," he told talkSPORT.
"We've done it with players all over the park and people have stepped up to the plate when need be.
"People talk about injuries and go overboard. Every team suffers during the season at some point.
"Our last seven games we've had some horrendous injuries (Nemanja) Vidic with a broken collarbone and Gary Neville, the best right-back in the world.
"There's no bad way to win it. You win the trophy - it's as simple as that.
"It doesn't matter what anyone else says or reckons what's happened to their team. Everyone's going to have their opinion."
