BEST IN THE WORLD

"In Holland we have too many great players for such a small country. If England had the players we have they would have won everything.

"The problem with Ruud is that he and Patrick Kluivert - which is our perfect strikeforce - have difficulties finding each other.

"They haven't had their best spells together and he showed his frustration when he was substituted against the Czech Republic.

"The manager didn't accept that so he suspended him for a game.

"Knowing Ruud, his professionalism is fantastic. Any young player, especially near Manchester, who wants to improve his game should watch Ruud on and off the pitch.

"He's so focused on the game and improving every day that sometimes when things don't go his way he gets frustrated, which is understandable.

"He's a great athlete and international-wise he is going to be the best in the world.

"When he first joined Manchester United people said: `We don't know about the injury, we'll have to wait and see'.

"But even now he's still scoring goals. He will be good, I just hope that it will come when we qualify for Euro 2004 and then he can show the whole world what he's worth."
