“With regards to any heavy tackles I might receive from any
particular player — I am sure it will be a very interesting
battle if I come up against my old team in the Champions
League. It’s something I look forward to. Going back to
Manchester United as a Real Madrid player will be a special,
exciting occasion.”
Beckham stays in touch with a couple of old team mates:
“I spoke to Nicky Butt before I came over here and I talk to
Gary Neville most days. Of course we’ll always keep in
touch. I’ve spent a lot of time with these people. They are
the friends I’ve grown up with.”
