BECKHAM TURNED DOWN BY HOMER

David Beckham was to be asked to appear on The Simpsons but
the producers decided against it because he isn’t well known
in America.

"We thought about Becks but soccer isn't as big over there.
He's not really famous enough," said executive producer Al
Jean

"We thought about it, we didn't ask. I've heard of him
because my daughter plays soccer."
