ARE TWO VANS BETTER THAN ONE?

United target Daniel van Buyten has been quoted in a newspaper in Belgium saying that United and Marseille are in contact regarding a possible summer transfer. The big centre back believes that negotiations are taking place at boardroom level.

"Currently they are just talking on club level. I will start to talk with Manchester United when both teams have an agreement," Said van Buyten in Het Laaste Nieuws.

"The coach doesn't want to let me go, however Manchester United have the resources to make a bid which can't be resisted.

"I won't say no directly. I just play to 60 percent of my capacity and therefore I have to make a step further every time. To stay too long at Marseille, isn't good."
