The Telegraph:
Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
Ochoa, who currently plays for Club America, is keen on a move to Old Trafford and would command a £7.5m transfer fee.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson sees Ochoa, 22, as an able replacement for veteran keeper Edwin van der Sar, who, at 37, is nearing the end of his playing career.
Ferguson already has Ben Foster, who impressed on loan at Watford last season, as back-up. However, Foster is currently suffering from a cruciate knee ligament problem, and United are badly in need of extra cover.
Ochoa, who has been nominated for France Football magazine's World Footballer of the Year Award, said: "There have been people scouting me and I have been approached and have had talks.
"They (Man Utd) are a great team and it is possible something will be done."
