ANOTHER DOUBLE

United have finished top of the Barclaycard Premiership Fair Play League for the 2002/03 season - the fourth time they have achieved that in the last five years.

Based on the number of red and yellow cards received, positive play, respect towards opponents and the referee and behaviour of officials, the Reds finished ahead of Newcastle in second.

United finished top in three of the categories - cards, positive play and behaviour of officials.

The award means that the club receive £30,000 to spend on local Football in the Community projects.

How ironic that our Bitter Blue mates are now applying for their passports?

And this from the letters page of Manchesteronline:

I don't care how we qualify. Is it any different from qualifying for the Champs League when you're not champs? No. The Rags can try their hardest to pooh pooh our entry into this comp, but they know how far we've come since 1998, and they don't like it one bit. It' time they came to terms with the fact that WE'RE BACK.
