A rare four-page football programme dating back to 1897 is being sold at an auction of sporting memorabilia today.
The "official card" for Newcastle United's New Year's Day fixture against Newton Heath, a team which became Manchester United in 1902, is expected to fetch up to £5,000 when it goes under the hammer in Shropshire.
Football specialist Will Andrews, of auctioneers Mullock Madeley, said:
"Anything to do with Manchester United, and in particular the earliest days of the club, creates worldwide interest.

"This particular programme is in very good condition and an item such as this, and in the condition that it is in, should be a `must have' for the dedicated collector.
"This is literally worth more than its weight in gold.”
