Andy Cole:

“Chelsea now and United then are two totally different sides. We were total flair, always looking for goals.

“We would never look to shut up shop if we went a goal up. The players we had simply couldn't play like that. We'd concede goals, but we knew that in nine out of 10 games we'd score more than the opposition and that was how we played.

“That was what made our team so great. When you see Chelsea now, they have their system and stick to it, and are happy to settle for closing a game out if they go one up. That's Jose Mourinho's way.

“At the moment they are winning games and I'm sure the Chelsea fans are happy to settle for that. But the history of United wouldn't have allowed us to play in that manner. Chelsea have done superbly, but if you ask anybody which teams they want to watch, they'd say United or Arsenal.

“When it comes to football, Manchester United are Hollywood. The pressure to perform in a certain style is more intense.

On the possibility of a Treble for Chelsea:

“It won't be easy. You have to have a bit of luck with injuries and come out of games winning when you haven't played so well. And in Europe it is a totally different game.

“At United we always aimed to win the Premiership first and foremost. I scored the goal against Tottenham that clinched it that year, but everybody contributed and Arsenal pushed us all the way to the wire.

“Chelsea have been dominant the past two seasons but it could be more difficult this time. United are playing some great football again now and Arsenal are coming back. You never know what can happen.”
