AND YET MORE STILL

The King comes onside. Denis Law:

"You wonder why these people want to come in. Is it to better the club? I'm sure he doesn't know a great deal about our football, or soccer as they call it, so when you look at it in depth then money can be the only answer and that is obviously not good.

“My allegiance would always be with the fans. They are too frequently shoved to one side but without them no club could survive. If the guy knows anything about football then there's no point in changing the regime at United. How could you replace the most successful manager in the game's history?”

London financier Keith Harris:

"You'd have to be worried, but not as worried as Malcolm Glazer's bankers. There are graveyards littered with bankers who have made mistakes, although I'm not suggesting they haven't done their homework, but at the minute they will be scrabbling to make sure they can get control of the assets at Old Trafford.

“That's the physical assets and the human assets, which is the only security they have in case things go wrong, like they can sell the ground and the players.”

United fan and WBO World Featherweight title challenger Michael Brodie who challenges Scott Harrison for the title in Manchester next month:

"I'd fight for free if I could get Glazer into the ring instead of Harrison and I'd give him a right pasting for the fans. I am a lifelong supporter of Man U and was devastated to hear that Glazer, who couldn't give a damn about football or the fans, is taking control of our historic club.

“He's not a football man and he doesn't understand what it means to the fans who go to the matches week-in and week-out. Only the other week I was truly honoured to be allowed onto the pitch during half-time at Old Trafford in their game against West Bromwich Albion and received a fantastic reception from the fans.

“The Reds have really got behind me in my fight against Harrison and even though I'm in preparations for the biggest night of my life, I am still prepared to stand alongside them in the fight to get rid of Glazer. Ever since I was a boy, my dream was to win a World title and defend it at Old Trafford.

“I'm now close to winning the world title with only Harrison standing in the way, but now Glazer is destroying the dream title defence at Old Trafford. With every punch that I am throwing at Harrison, I will imagine the face of Glazer instead and that will be enough motivation for me to win the World title.”
