From The Sun:
The Sun has recovered a computer holding explosive security secrets about the Beckhams.
It detailed plans to guard soccer star David and his family and was allegedly pinched from ex-minders.
One of our reporters was given the machine and handed it to police.
The "stolen" computer would have been a gift for any kidnapper.
The top-secret files contained plans of the family’s Beckingham Palace mansion — including the positioning of all cameras and alarms.
They also included detailed information on the family’s security arrangements at home and abroad.
Two men have been arrested by police probing the alleged theft.
If the sensitive information got into the wrong hands the consequences for David, Victoria and their sons Brooklyn, five, and Romeo, two, could have been devastating.
Pregnant Victoria, 30, and the boys were the victims of a kidnap plot in November 2002.
The hush-hush security plans were on a computer allegedly stolen from the firm brought in to beef up arrangements to safeguard the family.
They were stored on the hard drive of a computer used by former minders Chase Security Management.
SECURITY has been beefed up at all the Beckhams’ homes after a series of scares.
In July a maniac carrying petrol was seized at their Hertfordshire mansion — which has a "safe" room.
The couple have also made their Madrid home a fortress with a 12ft fence and CCTV.
The company’s head Peter Consterdine alerted police after alleged attempts to blackmail the firm over the contents.
He told The Sun last night: "I have passed all this on to the police because we have had an extortion demand.
"The information is our proprietary information and confidential and they are now using that to blackmail us."
The Sun was offered a computer allegedly containing the information.
Reporter John Askill checked out its authenticity and quickly handed over the equipment to officers from South Yorkshire Police at a service station on the M1 near Coalville, Leics.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire police said last night: "I can confirm two men have been arrested in relation to allegations of theft and blackmail relating to a property at the centre of a dispute with a security company. Both were questioned and released on bail pending inquiries."
Last night the Beckhams thanked The Sun for stepping in. David’s spokesman Simon Oliveira said: "The security of their family is of paramount importance to David and Victoria.
"They are grateful to The Sun and are relieved that the matter is now being dealt with by the police."
The documents reveal astonishing details of the level of security surrounding England captain David, 29, and his family. They show how:
EVERY member of the family has had DNA swabs taken and stored by police for identification in case they are held to ransom.
FINGERPRINTS, voice samples, copies of their hand-writing and photos of any identifying scars are also on file so police can eliminate crank kidnappers from genuine ones.
DAVID and Victoria were advised to take a special driving course on how to tackle "security threats" while out on the road.
The security masterplan — contained in more than 130 documents — was sent to every police control room, including Scotland Yard, as a guideline on to how to tackle an emergency.
It includes:
MAPS and photos of David and Victoria’s Beckingham Palace home in Hertfordshire as well as a detailed line drawing of the house.
PERSONAL mobile numbers for the Beckhams and Victoria’s parents.
A CONTACT list detailing the names and phone numbers of those who should be contacted in an emergency.
INFORMATION about the use of bullet-proof cars and how a bodyguard watches Brooklyn’s school.
LETTERS from the security firm — based in Leeds — to the Beckhams marked "strictly private and confidential".
The couple were warned their high-profile status means that they will always be a potential target.
They were told bluntly that their high-profile life, national status, astonishing wealth and media interest meant that they would be at risk for the rest of their lives.
David and Victoria were also told that the criminal fraternity in the UK was increasingly being infiltrated by ruthless Central and Eastern European villains where kidnapping, as a criminal profession, is well established.
Although Chase Security Management is no longer used by the Beckhams since their move to Spain, it is believed their recommendations will still be in place.
Following the kidnap attempt on Victoria and the children, the Beckhams travelled in armoured cars and had a reinforced "safe room" installed at their Hertfordshire mansion.
Their luxury home in Madrid already had a 6ft high fence when they moved in, but the couple had that doubled and fitted the grounds with motion sensors and other security monitors.
