Story in Saturday's Irish Times that Ferguson trousered half of the money rasied at charity gig in Berkley Court Hotel - £97k. Four other United players were present who donated time for free. Happened in 1999, funny that it didn't make the papers before now.....
Apparently the truth behind the story is that the dinner was for Fergie's testimonial and he donated half of the proceeds to a sick jockey. Is this just the beginning of a smear campaign?
