Rising Manchester United soccer star Kieran Richardson had his nose broken and a tooth knocked out in an unprovoked attack yesterday.
The 18-year-old midfielder was in hospital last night after he was punched while out Christmas shopping in Manchester city centre.
A policeman who raced to the scene in upmarket St Anne's Square said: "This bloke just slotted Kieran and knocked him straight over. Kieran got up straight away but the guy ran off and obviously didn't want to see things through. Kieran had walked out of a clothes shop and started talking to the man. The Scouser told him he was too lippy and then just thumped him.
"There was blood everywhere. Kieran lost a cap off a front tooth. He said his nose was broken."
