ALAN SMITH is teaming up with Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson — in a multi-million pound deal.

And that is enough to put the wind up every Leeds fan.

Elland Road striker Smith, 22, and Ferguson are two of four investors involved in an amazing business tie-up.

They have paid £1million each to buy a state-of-the-art office complex which they will then lease to furniture company MFI.

The offices will cost around £4m and are being built on an industrial park in Northampton.

An insider told SunSport: “It’s strictly business. Alan is not about to join Manchester United, it’s just an arrangement which suits both parties.”
